NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - The Northbridge Rams hosted the Wolverines of Leicester at Lasell Field for the Homecoming Weekend Football Game. Grey skies, spots of rain and drizzle throughout the game didn’t damper the spirits of the Rams who were coming off a win over St. Bernard’s last weekend. The Rams received the ball first with a solid kick return to around the 40 yard-line by Jarek Wenc, putting Northbridge in good field position to being their drive. Northbridge QB, Joel LaChapelle put the points on the board first with a goal line run for 6, followed with a successful PAT by Jayden Wilson. Leicester would eventually answer back with a one yard run by QB Mason Mason Griffiths and PAT, evening the score to 7-7. Ben Direnzo received a 14-yard pass from Joel LaChapelle to bring the Rams ahead, with PAT by Wilson. At half-time the score was 14-7, Rams. Closing out the scoring for the game in the second half were two passes from Joel LaChapelle to Adam Flauto, along with PATs on both, brining the Rams to win 28-7. Northbridge closes out week 3 at (2-1). This game marked the 390th career win for Northbridge Head Coach Ken LaChapelle. Next week, the Rams travel to Millbury to take on the Woolies for Friday Night Lights matchup.
